In 9th and 10th grade the main concern of all my essays were it's organization and the fluency of the ideas. My goal this quarter was to fix this problem and I noticed the organization of my writing is starting to improve a lot by comparing my grades in chronological order. The orange and green hand-out's aided me a lot while writing all of my essays. The papers allowed me to use a variety of transitions and I could use different ones at the appropriate times instead of the same old, first, second third. The papers also helped me introduce my evidence smoothly and more clearly. It also allowed me to link the connection and show the relationship between the topic sentence and my reasoning for giving that certain evidence.
I would like to work on still improving my grammar and conventions because whenever I write I still have a lot of errors in that department. I will improve on this by reading a lot of books to introduce me too and get me familiar with all different types and sentence structures and they way they're structured instead me only knowing the basic types. I can also continue to practice and make good grammar become a habit and come naturally by always implementing the different sentence structures that we learned in Mrs. Yuasa's class. This way it'll become easier to write parallel structures of integrate similes after awhile and I won't have to even think about it. It is important for me to improve on this skill because it'll make my writing more appealing to the reader and not have it only 1 dimensional.
